In order to bid on any Government contract you need to first sign up with Beta.Sam.gov. You will go through the process of obtaining a Dun & Brandstreet number and cage code. This registration when completed will need to renewed yearly. There is no cost to sign up or renew these numbers.

A Duns number is a nine-digit number that is recognized as the universal standard to track businesses world-wide. In the Summer of 2020 this number will no longer be known as a Duns number. Due to the change in contractor from Duns & Bradstreet to Ernst & Young, this new number will be know as a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).

Each solicitation lines out how a bid can be submitted. You can email, fax, or mail your bid. It is preferred that you email your bid for a quick submission with a time/date stamp. Due to deadlines of a solicitation mailing in your bid may not always be ideal especially if the close date is not far off. No bids will be excepted after the close date and time.

Contractors are chosen by the Contracting office by low bidder. Bids that are outrageously low will not be considered. This system was put in place to ward off favoritism and give all potential contractors a fair chance whether their company is big or small.
